Design Reviews Design Reviews are typically held in the beginning-to-middle of a development project, to insure the successful completion/outcome of a project. We strongly recommend an outside design review (such as the service provided here) to any OEM engaged in the development of a new packaging machine.
Two types of reviews are most commom: - Pre-Authorization Review, to establish the viability of a project before authorizing it.
- Pre-Release Design Review, to review the validity of the proposed design, before too much effort is expended building a potentially-unworkable design
The design review follows a pre-establish checklist. Depending upon the status of the design project, this will included: - A review of the marketing goals - A review of the design objectives - A matching of the design objectives with the marketing goals - A review of the projected reliability of the design - An analysis of the actual engineering design and drawings - A review of the proposed schedule - A review of the projected costs (both per-unit and project) - An analysis of the design specification - Calculation of the projected Internal Rate of Return - Comments, tips, suggestions, and other experience-based insight
Rate In most cases, a design review can be done in one day for a fixed fee, with packages ranging from $2500 + expenses, which includes a prior full review of the design, on site visit(s), and a complete report with analysis and recommendations.

In most cases, a Design Review can be set up in as little as one week. However, if it is important to hold it on a specific date, it is advisable to give as much notice as possible.
